Welcome to the Montclair Child Development Center, Inc. (MCDC), where we embrace the child, empower the family and strengthen the community! Since 1968, we have helped thousands of children succeed academically while assisting families on their journey toward self-sufficiency. Our Head Start services have grown from 75 low-income Montclair preschoolers served by 16 staff members to 488 Head Start, Early Head Start, and provider-funded students in five municipalities served by over 100 employees supporting our mission. With centers in Montclair, Glen Ridge, Belleville, and Orange, New Jersey, we represent more than 50 years of commitment to early education, family stability, and health equity for our neediest children and families.
